Beginnings Depend upon Endings

Ostara for the Northern Hemisphere.

A time of Change, Renewal and Re-birth

“Easter spells out beauty, the rare beauty of new life…”
~S.D. Gordon

Spring is a natural time of rebirth, renewal, and hope on the physical and spiritual levels
Humans have felt this in their bones since the dawn of time.

EagleEyes, Spiritual Rebirth and Renewal

In her recent article Do you ever feel discouraged? Luna Kadampa describes this process of change as “Sloughing off our sense of a limited, fixed, deluded self — a self that doesn’t in any case even exist — and arising and identifying ourselves as a wise, peaceful, positive, loving, happy, blissful, free person instead.”

We can treat ourself with the same loving-kindness we extend to others, and start to mentally shed those unneeded Winter layers to find this rare beauty inside.

Changes Graphic 1

Endings are always beginnings.
Because that’s the way the world goes.

For sunshine and blue skies to come, those snowy grey skies have to go, and our thermals with them. Doesn’t sound like bad thing; but it can be a trick to recognise this in normal life.
Holding onto things we really should’ve let go of already is subtle torture.
This is certainly worth thinking about if letting go is problematic for us.

We have to let go to become. Physically and mentally, even if it’s just a little bit at a time. Otherwise it’s like we’re still wearing our winter woolies even though it’s uncomfortable because the weather’s getter warmer.
Letting old things go and moving onto pastures new can be scary, especially if it isn’t something we planned. But if we’re open to it, we can experience magic in that space we’ve created.

Blessed Be for this wonderful time of renewal.

Change within and the externals will take care of themselves. Thanks Jas!

Thank you ❤ Glad you liked it.
Been editing the graphic all morning, so is much better now.
I hadn't figured in subtle impermanence, but you're right, that is very much part of the letting go process. And if we really understood how things change moment by moment, we'd know that there was nothing to hold onto anyway.

Aeons ago I found a book with the title ‘From a withered tree,a flower blooms’.That truth helped me so much at the time when I had to make a big outer change. You guessed it,it was a Dharma book. Now everytime I see a magnolia or cherry tree it reminds me of my potential to change beyond recognition so this time of year is very auspicious for some mental ‘clear outs’.Thank you,Jas

Thank you blessed one. ‘From a withered tree,a flower blooms.’ Zen wisdom.
Dharma is the supreme medicine, isn’t it. It changes everything, and makes that change so do-able. I love magnolia trees too. They’re such pure land trees, they always lift my mind. “Where flowers bloom so does hope.” (Johnson)
