☽O☾ August Blue Moon in Pisces :'(

)O( The Piscean Blue Moon could leave you an emotional wreck

¸   . •   *   ¨

This moon seems aptly named.

Technically, blue moon is the name given to the second full moon in a single month. It’s fairly unusual – you know the phrase – and won’t happen again for another 3 years.

healing old wounds

But for the more energy sensitive, this “Pisces Moon is the ocean of emotion and the shedding of tears” (J. Rimmer)
I know it isn’t just me that’s been feeling blue this week, with all sorts of crap coming up. Nicky over the road says she’s been “right up and down these past few days”.

“What seems to be emerging are feelings needing to be healed, old wounds being exposed and coming into our awareness, so we can clear the energetic beliefs around our wounds.”
astral insights, Mystic Mamma

We can clear this unhelpful energy with loving-kindness. Gently holding old wounds with a loving mind of generosity and forgiveness, allows even the sufferings we have concealed deep in our consciousness to heal.
It’s like holding a crying child while they calm down.

“Given the strong influence of the moon on our feelings, it is important to take excellent care of yourself during this time and allow feelings to be as they are.”
Angel Coach’s Blog

So don’t worry, just nurture and be kind to yourself.
Cherishing those around us helps tons too.

to ‘lonely’ from Israel (and everywhere else)

Dear ‘lonely’ from Israel’
I don’t know who  you are,
but you were my 1st hit on Sunday morning.
And to the other folk who visit the 2 posts on loneliness here.

You are not alone!

See, I know this for sure, because Thich Nhat Hanh says “Loneliness is one of the afflictions of modern life… it is universal in our society.
– If it’s ‘universal’- you can’t be the only one.

Some of these lonesome souls sometimes visit those two little outposts as well.
I wrote them ages ago – with a friend who suffered terribly from loneliness.
He described it as an “open wound. It hurts, and feels like it won’t ever heal.” I don’t want anybody to feel that bad.

I don’t see him anymore, and I miss him.
I can’t reach through the monitor and give him, and everyone else a smile and a wave

– so here’s a screenshot – made with lots of love – instead.

Facebook conversation between Luna Kadampa and Shanti:
One of the best opponents to loneliness is the meditation on the kindness of others, the interconnectedness we share on every level.
Yes. It’s our illusion of separateness that makes people feel lonely

“We are all interconnected in a web of kindness from which it is impossible to separate ourselves.”

August and September at Amitabha Buddhist Centre, Bristol UK

Autumn Highlights at ABC

Just back from Saturday scripture class (Foundation Programme),
and doing the flowers on the shrine for tomorrow’s ‘The True Nature of Things‘ course.

I should be kicking back and watching some crap TV.
But I don’t have a TV, and I didn’t sleep much last night ~ so I’m wired!
You know ~
 that kind of hyper-active kids get, when what they actually really need to be doing is going to bed;
but staying up is just so much more f u n .
(I’d be cranky if disturbed as well)

Thing is, I’m fired-up with positive energy, and inspired to let the world know what our little Buddhist Centre is up to this next couple of months.

:~( All apologies to my South American followers – you don’t get Assange – unless we can smuggle him out to safety. And this is probably a bit far to come.
Not that you’d want to. It’s raining heavily, windy and cold.)

But anyway…

Gratitude for a beautiful gathering, beautiful beings, all blessed with beautiful sunshine…. may all beings in the world be happy and at peace.

Amy Self:
…There I sat, thirty minutes of contemplation and breath. A sense of others in my parameter, a sense of safety and goodness longed for. The mind, free to meander through the thoughts that have been challenging it of late.
Encouraged, elevated and energized. A fresh start. A desire to meditate and make time for this amazing space in mind, body and soul.
Thank you, to all who made it possible.
Blessed be.
